Climate smart agriculture & food security
Arid and Semi-Arid Land (ASAL) regions face droughts and scarcity of water that exacerbates food insecurity. Kenya constitutes nearly 80 percent of its land mass as ASAL where Isiolo and Marsabit remain prominent. The farming communities in Isiolo and Marsabit depend on subsistence farming yielding to limited income. An introduction of climate smart agriculture in household and communities will increase yield and income leading to improved livelihoods.
Our intervention:
Support innovative and resilient farming methods that will increase food security, household income and contribute to the economic and livelihood development of women, youth, climate vulnerable communities in Arid and Semi-Arid Land (ASAL)
